EDI X12 Viewer, Formatter, and Transaction Helper

Use this EDI viewer online-style workflow to inspect X12 segments, format payloads, review envelope controls, and export readable JSON views for integration work.

Private by design: pasted EDI and selected files are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to a USA Data Tools parser server, which makes it a browser local EDI tool for quick review.

What it does

The EDI workspace breaks payloads into readable segments and elements so teams can inspect transaction structure without opening a full enterprise EDI suite for every quick check. It also helps with EDI to JSON viewer style review when you need a clearer look at the payload.

The transaction helper detects ST01 and shows browser-local summaries for 837 claims, 835 payments, 270/271 eligibility, 276/277 claim status, 834 enrollment, 850 purchase orders, 855 acknowledgments, 856 ship notices, and 810 invoices. It highlights common identifiers, parties, dates, amounts, and warnings.

Helper checks only: envelope and transaction summaries are not certified X12, HIPAA, or TR3 validation.

EDI Viewer FAQ

Can I use this as an EDI formatter online?

Yes. The tool acts like a browser-local EDI formatter online by making X12 payloads easier to read in the browser.

Can I use it as an X12 EDI parser?

Yes. It breaks X12 segments into readable pieces so you can inspect transactions and related control data.

Can I use it as an X12 EDI validator?

It is not a certified X12, HIPAA, or TR3 validator. It provides helper checks only, including envelope control checks and transaction-aware summaries for common X12 documents.

What related tools help with EDI payloads?

Use Cross-Format File Compare for EDI to JSON or EDI to XML when checking converted partner files, and CSV / Delimited Converter when preparing adjacent partner files.

Is this a browser local EDI tool?

Yes. Pasted EDI and selected files are processed locally in the browser rather than intentionally uploaded to a remote parser.
